Our Holiday Visitors

This is Short Round. OK - well that's what we have decided to call her for the moment. The name on her tag says "Gabby", but really that just doesn't seem to fit. So the story is that we found this little gal at the park on Tuesday. Although she is teeny tiny, she is not a puppy. It was rather warm on Tuesday and Wednesday so we kept her in a kennel in the garage. A cold front blew through overnight though and now it's too cold to have her outside. She is currently residing in our downstairs bathroom. So far so good, she seems to be doing just fine and Tucker is not bothering her too much.

It's now 4 days later (I started this on Christmas eve) and Gabby has been happily reunited with her family. We decided to drive around again to look for signs and we just happened to find one. So Christmas Eve we delivered Gabby back to her grateful owners. And yes, had we been unable to find them we would have kept her.

We had another visitor (this one human) the day after Christmas. One of my friends went into labor and we happened to be on call to watch her other little girl. So Astoria came to stay with us on Saturday. Her baby sister Krynn was born Saturday evening and everyone is doing just fine.

Now it is back to our usual loud and unruly house, just the 4 of us. Sometimes I think we need more unexpected guests just to calm things down!
